Privacy
The short version: this site is mostly static, we don’t use cookies or third-party analytics, and the personal data we touch is only what you choose to send us (a newsletter email, or an optional contact on a tip).
Newsletter
The newsletter is operated by Hostinger Reach, our email provider. When you subscribe, your email address is transmitted to and stored by Hostinger Reach to deliver the emails. Every email contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing deletes you from the list.
Fail tip submissions
When you send a tip through the on-site form, we store what you typed (what happened, optional source link, agent/tool, name/handle, and optional email) on our own server so we can review it for a possible story. Optional email is used only to follow up with you about that tip. Tips are not published automatically. To ask us to delete a tip that includes your contact details, email fails@techbroz.com.
Visitor counting
We count visits with our own small, cookie-free counter on our own server. It records the page path, the referring website’s domain and an anonymous daily visitor count made from a one-way hash with a salt that changes every day. Raw IP addresses are never stored, and no one can be tracked across days.
Hosting & logs
The site is hosted on Hostinger shared hosting. Like any web host, Hostinger may keep standard server logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) for security and operations.
Everything else
- No cookies set by us, no accounts, no comments, no ads with trackers.
- Outbound links (including sources and share buttons) go to third-party sites with their own policies.
